Goal Bound is a SportyBet goals market where instead of picking Over or Under a single line, you pick a band — a range of total goals you expect the match to fall into. If the total lands within your band, your selection wins. Outside the band, it loses.
How Goal Bound works
A Goal Bound market lists several non-overlapping bands that together cover all possible goal totals. You pick one band. The match settles into exactly one of the available bands at full-time.
Common bands offered by SportyBet:

Example: You pick 2-3. The match ends 2-1 (3 goals total) — wins. It ends 1-0 (1 goal total) — loses. It ends 4-2 (6 goals total) — loses.
Exact versus range bands
SportyBet sometimes also offers exact goal markets — predicting the total goals to be exactly a specific number (e.g. exactly 2 goals). These are different from range bands:
- Exact 2 goals — wins only if the final total is exactly 2
- 2-3 band — wins if the final total is 2 or 3
An exact market is narrower and will carry higher odds than a range band that includes the same number.
How Goal Bound differs from Over/Under

Goal Bound is inherently more specific than Over/Under. You are not just saying "more goals" or "fewer goals" — you are committing to a specific range. That specificity is reflected in the odds.
What counts as a goal
Goal Bound settles on total goals (both teams combined) in 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Goals in extra time and penalty shootouts are not counted unless the specific market states otherwise. Own goals count as normal goals.
Goal Bound on other bookmakers
Goal Bound as a branded product name is specific to SportyBet. Bet9ja and 1xBet offer similar goal-range markets under different names — "Exact Goals" or "Total Goals Range" — but the band definitions and selections available may differ.
Converting Goal Bound selections
When a Goal Bound selection from a SportyBet slip is converted to another bookmaker, SlipMix attempts to map it to the closest equivalent goals-range market on the target platform. If the target bookmaker does not offer the same band, the leg is skipped and flagged. Standard Over/Under on the same total line is not substituted without an exact match.
