Team Total Goals is an Over/Under market applied to one team's goals in isolation. Instead of predicting whether both teams will combine for over or under 2.5 goals, you predict whether a single team — home or away — will score over or under a set number.
How it works
The structure is identical to the standard Over/Under market, but the count covers only one team:
- Home Team Total Goals Over/Under X — settles on the goals scored by the home team only
- Away Team Total Goals Over/Under X — settles on the goals scored by the away team only
The other team's goals are irrelevant to the result of this market.
Worked example
Match: Liverpool vs Everton. Line: Liverpool (Home) Total Goals Over/Under 1.5.

Note in the last row: Liverpool lost 2-0, so Everton scored 2 goals — but the market was on Liverpool's total. Liverpool scored zero goals, so Under 1.5 wins regardless of Everton's score.
Common lines
Lines for Team Total Goals are typically lower than the match total because one team is being assessed in isolation. Common lines are:
- 0.5 — does the team score at all? Over 0.5 means at least one goal; Under 0.5 means a blank (no goals for that team).
- 1.5 — does the team score 2 or more? Over 1.5 requires at least 2 goals from that team.
- 2.5 — does the team score 3 or more?
A team that blanks (scores zero) settles Under on all positive lines.

The labelling varies. "Team 1" on 1xBet refers to the home team; "Team 2" refers to the away team.
Team Total versus BTTS
Both Team Total Goals and Both Teams to Score (BTTS / GG) involve individual team goals, but they are different questions:
- BTTS Yes — both teams score at least one goal (binary: yes or no)
- Team Total Over 0.5 for each team — separately prices whether each team scores
BTTS pays out based on both teams scoring. Team Total Goals on a single team pays out regardless of what the other team does.
